METALSMITHING - BASICS OF SOLDERING  Mon., Mar. 8th, 6-8:30 pm Students will learn the basic chemistry and set-up for soldering small items and how to set up a minimal soldering operation for under $100. Peter Senesac will explain solders, fluxes, pickling acids and fire scale as well as annealing and work hardening. Peter will also give demos and students will solder jump rings during the first session. $40 (Save $20 and take Beyond Basics of Soldering also for a total of $60)

BEYOND BASICS OF SOLDERING  – Thurs., March 11th, 6-8:30 pm. This metalsmithing class with Peter Senesac covers the use of various torches, types of joins, appliqué’, sheet and wire. Students will have tech samples & handouts for future reference and there will be hands-on practice. This is a great preliminary class if you want to take other metalsmithing classes or if you are thinking about setting up your own studio. Lots of opportunity to ask questions and solve problems. $40 (Save $20 and take Basics of Soldering also for a total of $60)

 

tn.jpgELIZABETHAN ELEGANCE BRACE-LETNEW CLASS!!  Sat., March 13th, 10:30 am. Using a variation of the right angle weave, create a lovely bracelet using Swarovski glass pearls and seedbeads. Looks hard, but it’s not!! Taught by Chrissy Swenson. Beg.-Int. $30
